Based at 20 rue de Prony, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, Myne is a firm of chartered accountants registered with the Ordre des experts-comptables. Our four partners, Anthony Haddad, Joachim Benchimol, Ilan Dubois-Pfaelzer and Elie Dichi, are chartered accountants (experts-comptables) and statutory auditors (commissaires aux comptes). More than thirty staff handle the day-to-day work on client files, and the firm has worked with more than 1,000 clients in Paris and across France.

We step in when your company is set up, when we take over your file from another accountant, and for as long as the business grows. Depending on the engagement, our teams keep or review the books, prepare the annual accounts and tax returns, run payroll and social security filings, handle routine company law and build the figures you need to steer the business. The partners also work on consolidation, audit and statutory audit engagements.
Myne works mainly with Pennylane, a French cloud accounting software, to centralise receipts and bank transactions: around 1,500 client files are kept on it. Less time goes into repetitive tasks, so the team can follow your figures more often. Every file is handled by people who know your company, your deadlines and the points to watch.
We work with SMEs and start-ups, freelancers and independent professionals, regulated and healthcare professions, content creators and online sellers. The firm also works with real estate, construction and crafts, hotels and restaurants, retail, legal professions, the arts and audiovisual production. Cash flows, obligations and key figures differ from one trade to another. The accounting set-up takes this into account from the start of the engagement.

How much does an English-speaking accountant cost in Paris?
Working in English does not change the price. The monthly fee depends on your profile; every figure below is a starting price, excluding VAT, and your quote is set after the first meeting.

The annual accounts, the corporate tax return (liasse fiscale) and VAT returns are included. Payroll is billed at €30 excl. VAT per payslip. Can you handle my company entirely in English?
The conversation, yes: meetings, emails and explanations happen in English with Elie Dichi, partner at Myne. The official documents, such as tax returns, annual accounts and the engagement letter, are in French, and we explain each of them to you in English. Some letters from the French tax office will also reach you in French: forward them as soon as they arrive and we tell you what they mean and what needs doing.
Is the first meeting free, and how does the engagement work?
The first meeting is free and commits you to nothing. If you go ahead, you sign an engagement letter (lettre de mission) that follows the rules of the Ordre des experts-comptables. It covers one financial year and is renewed automatically, and the fee is paid monthly by direct debit.
Is it compulsory to hire an accountant for a company in France?
No. A French company must keep accounts, file its annual accounts and file its tax returns, but the law does not require it to hire an accountant to do so. In practice, most founders who are new to French rules prefer a chartered accountant, because mistakes in VAT or in the annual tax return are costly to correct.
What is the difference between an expert-comptable and a commissaire aux comptes?
The expert-comptable keeps or reviews your accounts and prepares your filings. The commissaire aux comptes is an independent statutory auditor who certifies the accounts when the law or the articles of association require it, or reports on specific operations such as a contribution in kind or a merger. A statutory auditor cannot audit accounts kept by their own firm. Myne’s four partners hold both qualifications.
Can you take over from my current accountant during the year?
Yes. The handover is organised with your previous firm so that no filing is missed. We then move the file to Pennylane or Tiime, connected to your bank and sales tools. Catching up on late bookkeeping is quoted separately.
Which French accounting terms will you come across?
- Expert-comptable: chartered accountant, a protected title reserved for members of the Ordre des experts-comptables.
- Commissaire aux comptes: statutory auditor.
- Lettre de mission: engagement letter between you and the firm.
- Liasse fiscale: the set of forms that make up the annual corporate tax return.
- TVA: value added tax (VAT).
- Kbis: official extract from the trade and companies register, the French proof of incorporation.
- SIREN / SIRET: company identification number / establishment number.
- FEC: standard export of all accounting entries, which the tax office can request during an audit.
- Bulletin de paie: payslip.
What changes with French e-invoicing?
France is moving business-to-business invoices to electronic invoicing through approved platforms. According to the French tax administration, since 1 September 2026 every business must be able to receive electronic invoices, and large and mid-sized companies must also issue them. Small and medium-sized companies and micro-enterprises must start issuing them on 1 September 2027. Pennylane, on which around 1,500 of our client files are kept, appears on the list of approved platforms published by the tax administration.
